Virtual Working is a Brand New Environment for Me!

My husband and I landed in New Zealand on New Year’s day to spend a few weeks seeing friends and family. He is a KIWI! So I will be virtual working on our visit!

Ten years ago, when I started Charity Charms I could never have done this. I feel blessed to have harnessed the power of outsourcing to allow me to Spread the Power of Charms from wherever I might be in the world. Virtual working has let me live my dream and work with a team of amazing people.

• This morning I spent an hour on Skype with my virtual assistant, Kyna, who lives in Delaware.
• Confirmed shipments leaving from Providence, RI, and El Salvador via E-mail
• Communicated via Google Voice to a client in Phoenix
• Updated a graphics project with my designer in the Philippines with Done for You Solutions
• Ordered a photo re-touch through Fiverr

It is important to be efficient and to offer the best prices to our client as we work on tight margins.

Many of the non-profits we work with are being forced to scale back on staff and budgets. Outsourcing can help with this. My goal is to provide value to our clients, above and beyond just producing our Charming products. Sharing resources that we use that might work for them is just one of the ways we can add value.

Our new website, launching this month, features a whole resource section. So stay tuned! For now, I will continue my virtual working with an outsourced team. But ultimately, I could use your help!
