Corporations Seek New Ways to Support Causes
Great Movement in Corporations Who Support Causes
To begin with there has been a great movement in the world of cause marketing. Today I attended a workshop hosted by the Arizona non-profit Academy called ‘What Sponsors Really Want’. Notably, this workshop really gave me insight into how corporations are seeking new ways to support causes. I think this was due to the content of the workshop coupled with the expertise of the speakers involved. Workshops, in this case, can give people access to key insights that can help their cause marketing efforts.
At this particular event, representatives from three top corporations spoke: APS, WELLS FARGO, and COX.
In effect, the top three nuggets I left with were:
- Corporations like to be recognized for their contributions by telling the story through social media
- They are focusing much more on programs that engage employees than buying tables at events
- Co-Branded collaborations with causes that align with their mission are the main focus
In general, I am seeing corporations and non-profits becoming savvier in the most effective ways to work together. Therefore, cause marketing “where for-profits and non-profits come together to make a profit” should be an integral part of every marketing strategy. Moreover, it shows corporations support causes their consumers care about while increasing awareness.
Accordingly, our Charmed Giving program is a cause marketing program that does all of these things while providing a tangible wearable product that can deliver measurable results. Read More
