Society of Chairs & The KEY to Their Iconic Gala Gift

Above all, philanthropists have a desire to improve the welfare of others and their communities. Whether they have an overall love of humanity or passion for increasing the quality of life in their community, philanthropists dedicate their time to making things better. They may not ask for recognition, but, with this in mind, The Society of Chairs Gala does just that. Each year the event honors an impactful person or people within the Phoenix Philanthropic community for their service and success in raising funds and supporting non-profits. Since the events inception in 2018, Charity Charms has created a custom gala bracelet that celebrates the honorees and the event. It has become a signature of the event, and this year’s bracelet was just as special.

The KEY to a Successful Gala Gift

As with previous years, we work closely with Andrea Evans (the owner of the event) and her team to create a beautiful bracelet that the recipients will want to wear long after the event is over. Each bracelet integrates key colors and packaging that into the event theme for the year. For 2023, two women from PANDA (People Acting Now Discovering Answers), Penny Gunning and Robyn DeBell were honored alongside the Virginia Piper Charitable Trust. The signature bracelet is a dainty Charm Cord Cuff bracelet with 5 small charms. A panda, the signature Society of Chairs logo key, a matching lock, a red heart, and a custom charm for the Virginia Piper Charitable Trust. The lovely bracelets were packaged with an acknowledgement card in a standout black and white square box with event branding on top. Guests were delighted and the bracelets, as usual, made a lovely memento to remember the evening and the impact of these organizations.

About Society of Chairs

society of chairs 2023 gala gift

The Society of Chairs Gala has been a long standing Valley tradition taken over by Frontdoors Magazine in 2018. Since then they have invited hundreds of guests to continue the tradition of celebrating and recognizing the philanthropic community. Each year event proceeds benefit The Sauce Foundation, the official foundation of Frontdoors Media that honors it’s former editor Mike Saucier, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2017. The Sauce Foundation supports TGen and journalism scholarships at the Cronkite School at Arizona State University. TGen continues to make great progress in both the treatment and early detection of pancreatic cancer and their work on COVID-19 — from testing to tracking to advanced genomic studies — has also made them internationally recognized pandemic experts who regularly serve and advise international, national, and local agencies. As of 2021, The Sauce Foundation has endowed two journalism scholarships at Arizona State University.
