Sunflowers
You may know that the sunflower gets its name because of its tendency to turn itself in order to face the sun. They get their name from two Greek words “helios” meaning sun and “anthos” meaning flower. Sunflowers quite literally mean flower of the sun. They hold significant symbolism in their colors and in the culture as a whole. Although science has proven the sunflower doesn’t actually follow the sun throughout the day, the flower has remained a symbol of loyalty, dedication, adorations, and unwavering faith. They are used for happy occasions from weddings to baby showers or just to cheer someone up. In China, they symbolize the longevity of life and enduring no matter what although eventually sunflowers too die out. In dreams, sunflowers are a symbol of luck in career ambitions, wealth, good fortune, and positive opportunities.
