The Star

The Star is one of the most popular, recognizable symbols that carries plenty of different meanings. For centuries, the stars have meant different things to different cultures, religions, and societies throughout time. Not only do they have different meanings, but are often drawn in different forms along with those meanings. One common theme that comes up time and time again is how the stars represent the answer to many of the questions we hold about ourselves. Questions such as who we are, why we are here and provide us with a sense of hope.

When we look up at the night sky we are reminded of how small we seem compared to the grander scheme of things. This has allowed people to create and appreciate the stars for centuries. Many of our connections to the stars come through love and believing our relationships were “written in the stars.” Constellations are incredibly significant to us as human beings because their place within the sky during our birth has determined our personality, interests, and what makes each of us unique. Stars are incredibly fascinating, beautiful, and remind us to stop, look up, and appreciate our place in the world.
