1 in 6 Arizonans experience food insecurity

Sierra Signs and Waste Not have teamed up to raise funds to meet the increasing food waste and hunger needs through the Key to Strength program. We have seen the food bank lines increasing this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and as we head into the holidays the need has never been greater. Each $50 donation helps provide 250 meals to people experiencing food insecurity. Each year 40% of fresh food is sent to landfills for varying reasons. This valuable resource can be used to benefit the health and well-being of our community and the planet.

100% of your donation benefits the nonprofit due to the generous support of Sierra Signs.

What makes The Key to Strength program so special is the thank you gift you receive for your generous donation. For every $50 donation made to Waste Not, you receive a custom unisex key fob featuring charms from Waste Not and Sierra Signs. This union of charms signifies their bond and support. Help us reach our goal of providing 100,000 meals for families in Arizona by the end of the year.

Key Fobs sponsored by Sierra Signs. Feature 100% recycled pewter charms made in the USA by Charity Charms.

Assembled by Seeds4Autism, a local Arizona nonprofit.

“I’ve been a huge fan of Charity Charms for years and all of us at Waste Not are honored to have been chosen by our sponsor, Sierra Signs to participate in the KEY to STRENGTH Program to help us raise funds to meet the increasing food waste and hunger needs of our community.”

About Waste Not

So Perishable Food Won't Go to Waste

Every day millions of dollars’ worth of food goes to waste while thousands in the Phoenix area go hungry. Waste Not delivers an innovative solution to fighting hunger by delivering food to those in need and combating food waste in the environment. Waste Not isn’t a food bank but they feed hungry people every day. Waste Not collects an average of 8-10,000 pounds of excess food from caterers and grocers and delivers it to schools, after-school programs, rehabilitation centers, transition homes, and senior centers. This perfectly good food would be otherwise tossed out and now has a new life with those who need it.

Key to Strength

Key to Strength was built out of the need to help Arizona nonprofits through the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. Many of Arizona’s nonprofits have reported a strain in their organizations due to an increased need for services during the last few months. Key to Strength brings together the power of the community, the power of businesses, and the power of charms to have a positive impact on Arizona.
